The Community Educator works to inform the community about services available and techniques that can be used to help themselves.  The Community Educator is able to help with the following:
  • Prepare and teach "Safe Dates" in local schools (Grades 8-12)
  • Healthy relationships
  • Red flags of abuse
  • How to help yourself/friend in abusive relationship
  • Where to turn for help
  • Communication skills
  • Schools throughout Cherokee, DeKalb, and Marshall counties
  • Teach anti-bullying classes for younger children
  • Summer outreach to colleges and anti-bullying classes
  • Attend local civic events and speaking engagements
  • Assist with Protection Orders, Safety Planning, and Outreach
